Soooooo tired.....

Sorry for the lack of blog updates. I have no (free) internet connection here in Brussels. I will be posting more soon!

I'm on a tour of Brussels and Brugge at the moment, and I'm falling asleep. Not because the tour is isn't!...just that I'm very jet-lagged from all my recent travels.

Hello and goodbye, Dublin!

It was nice...not...seeing you as we flew over. Damn clouds.

Bloggin' at ya from high in the sky once again. I have been the traveling fool lately, and today I'm on my biggest adventure yet: I'm going to be hopping the Atlantic to go to the Netherlands.

Let's recap where we''ve been lately:
Cincinatti, Ohio (beginning of June, 2 days)
Seattle (middle of June, 8 days)
Steamboat Springs, Colorado (end of June, 9 days) (NOTE: Vacation)
Orlando (middle of July, 2 days) (NOTE: Vacation)
San Diego (middle of July, 5 days) (NOTE: Vacation)
Netherlands/Belgium (now, for next 9 days)

I'm tired of hotel beds, planes, airports, rental cars, expense reports....but most importantly being away from my family and home.

This trip to Europe, while for work, does have a silver lining. I will get a chance to go to Brussels and visit one of our European relatives. This lays important groundwork for a summer trip to Europe with the family next year, as we wanted to stop and visit/re-establish our ties to my family in Europe. Now I can warn 'em that we're coming in force next year.

My route today is taking me the long way to Amsterdam, going from Fort Lauderdale to Houston first, and from THERE non-stop to the Netherlands. I'll have laptop power at my seat, so I can watch movies, etc. What I probably won't have is air conditioning at any of the hotels I'm staying at. *sigh*

Well, it IS going to be a learning experience.

Landing shortly in Houston...more to come later!

I saw Rachel Blake!

And you can, too, from the same spot I saw her!

I am ashamed...

I can offer no self-defense. A free t-shirt was involved.

Hey, vote for me, tho. Make me a star!

San Diego Comic-Con 2006 (Day 2, Thursday)

Okay, folks...I'm backfilling. Lots of photos from the Comic-con. Descriptions to come later, as well as a re-sorting of the photos.

Passing time with Google Video...

Occasionally, when I'm bored, I surf Google Video and YouTube. Both are pretty fun sites.

Today's winner:
I came across a hilarious Microsoft Ipod parody set to Danny Elfman's theme from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

But, on a more impressive note, I found Lynne and Tessa's music videos, and they're pretty good! They both get into their music, and they have set the themes up well. Kudos, girls! (My favorites are All The Small Things and Livin' La Vida Loca)

Of course, view the fireworks photos safely... listening to something that goes with them.

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Hope you had a great day! Here's how thing were...from where I sat, anyway!

Oh boy did Superman return!

How did I start my Independence Day? By going and seeing Superman Returns. I mean, how much more American can you get, going and seeing a movie about a pure American superhero?

Absolutely incredible. Brandon Routh just nailed Clark Kent/Superman, and Kevin Spacey was frightening as Lex Luthor...although I had some slight problems with Lois' characterization. The story was incredible, the visuals were incredible...and I was really moved by this adaptation of the movie.

Don't get me wrong, I love the original movie (which I watched when I got home), and Christopher Reeve...but if anyone was going to get this movie done right, it was Bryan Singer, and he knocked it out of the park.

Me and my website were mentioned on Blake Ross' blog.

Thanks, Blake!
